![]() Nidhogg was born from the Frost Giant Ymir’s residual vengeful thoughts following his death at the hands of Odin and his brothers. This also makes him sensitive to other people's negative emotions. He has been noted to love atmospheres where malice and envy run rampart, claiming that they calm him down. However, beneath Nidhogg’s rough exterior and antagonistic behavior, there is a slight sense of acknowledgement towards his current wielder’s willpower and abilties. Nidhogg is the most vocal among the Evil Dragons regarding his imprisonment and subjugation by Takeshi, often pushing the young Devil to dive headfirst into dangerous situations or use power that could harm his body in order to hasten his death, and thus Cataclysm Zone’s transfer to a new host. He urges his wielders to make peace with the fact that they are monsters now, as seen with Takeshi, and learn to enjoy their current status for all that it’s worth. Due to his past experiences and driven by his envy of never having experienced anything positive, Nidhogg scoffs at the idea of bonds and friendship, viewing betrayal and hostility as inevitable. He’s quite sadistic, enjoying torturing his hosts by taking advantage of their weaknesses and driving them into rampaging, a trait second only to his deranged love for battle. Corrosive fluids mixed with ashes also tend to drip from his mouth at times.īefitting of his status as an Evil Dragon, Nidhogg displays a vindictive and malicious personality. He has four wings growing from his back and four limbs, which are surrounded by dense miasma. ![]() Nidhogg is portrayed as an ash-colored Dragon with a serpentine body twenty meters long. ![]()
